Welcome!
Hello TUC church and all of you who connect with us.
November was ushered in at TUC with a huge day of democracy sustaining Sausage Sizzle. TUC people were out in force with the bread and sauce, and a friendly smile and chat with all who couldn’t resist the wonderful aroma coming off the BBQ. All proceeds were directed towards Outback Futures, who do brilliant work with allied health services for rural Queenslanders. We want to thank all the wonderful people who turned up to volunteer and give of their time and heart to make this fundraiser a big success. You were full of enthusiasm and joy and it was a beautiful expression of kingdom life.
Having our church out in the public eye – even on the nightly news – sends a message to our community that “we’re still here, and still creating neighbourhood connections”. That same story beams out from the playgroups each week, and the English conversation classes and the Community Morning Tea. Particularly at times like these we can appreciate afresh that TUC is a very significant community hub.
That’s the gift of finding our place at the table of the Lord, and experiencing what it means to be ‘in Christ’. As a worship community, our worship gives us a voice, our witness looks for fresh expressions of love, and our servant living is in response to what we received from God’s grace.
Despite the trials over the last seven months of separation from TUC community , your efforts to maintain those networks of care and encouragement to every one has been a witness to each of us. You made it your business, as Paul said to the Thessalonians to ‘encourage the faint hearted, help those who are sick, be patient with all…rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of Christ Jesus for you’ (1 Thessalonians 5: 14 – 18).
Please continue to uphold the life and witness of TUC in your prayer at this time to proclaim the eternal goodness of our Saviour King Jesus to everyone in our wider community.
In service together,
Matt Smith

Giving at TUC
We are so thankful that people at TUC are generous givers in more ways than one: giving their time, sharing their gifts, and donating financially. And we don’t mean this in a self-congratulatory way! Rather, we know that it is God who has grown this generous spirit within His church for the blessing of His people and to glorify His name - how amazing!
Thank you for your generous financial gifts to the LoveToowong fund. At present, we are not seeking any further donations for this fund, since the provision has been so great. The LoveToowong probity team will let the congregation know when more is required, keeping in mind that more provision is likely to be required in the long term.
We do also take up an offering every Sunday during worship and this financial support allows us to continue running our ministries and supporting the community in other ways. If you’d like to make an online financial offering, or set up a weekly online offering to support the ongoing ministry of TUC, please use our bank details below:
