Bonfire Church

In February this year, we held a Vision & Planning Day with the intention of listening together for how God is leading us at TUC. One of the pictures that came out of the day was "bonfire church". What if we are a bonfire church? A place where there is always more room for people to gather around the light and love of Christ? A place where we aren't content with just gathering like this, but also want to share this light with everyone and pass it on? There was a real sense of excitement on that day in February when this idea was shared with the whole group; we felt like the Spirit was saying something to us. So what do you think about this? Please be praying about where God is leading us and share it with us. We long to be true to His plan for this world; and how exciting that He invites us to be part of this!

The next video in the “When God asks questions” series is “What is your name?”. In this short video, Dr Paul Jones from Trinity College Queensland reflects on another of God's questions. On this occasion (Genesis 32), after wrestling with God all night, Jacob is asked the question, "What is your name?"

In other words, "Who are you really?"

The question has powerful implications for Jacob's future—and for ours as well.

Tech Team

A big thank you to everyone who has volunteered to join our Tech Team! Adrian, Eli, Franz and Asher have been learning the ropes from Brad and Luke so we can make sure everything involved in live-streaming our worship is more sustainable. We will also continue live-streaming even when we can meet back together again because this allows us to reach more people and is also useful for those who can’t make it to church.
